Ping G440 Hybrid

A new shallower and thinner face design delivers faster ball speed, a higher peak height and big distance with more stopping power. Each Ping G440 hybrid delivers different ball flights – from the fade-biased 2 hybrid, the neutral mid-hybrids and the draw-inducing 5, 6 and 7. With a new shaft-fitting option: the PING Tour 2.0 Black 90. Lofts are adjustable ± 1.5° and lie up to 3° flatter than standard.

PING G440 HYBRID FEATURES

• Free Hosel, Low CG
  Weight savings from the new Free Hosel and Carbonfly Wrap crown help lower the CG and ensure forgiveness with tight dispersion.
• Pleasing Sound
  The Carbonfly Wrap saves weight, which is reallocated to help lower the CG, ensure forgiveness and contribute to a more muted, pleasing sound at impact.
• High Launch, Fast Face
  A shallower face helps you make contact higher on the face and launch the ball higher. The thinner face and optimized face profile help increase ball speed in the middle of the face and control ball speed on off-center strikes.
• Contoured Sole Design
  A slimmer back-weight profile ensures the club sits more flush and the face angle remains consistent, no matter the loft or lie setting in the adjustable hosel.
• Loft-Specific Designs
  The 2 is slightly fade-biased with a lower, penetrating flight for off the tee. Loft increased in the 3 and 4 to launch higher with a neutral flight and more stopping power. The 5, 6 and 7 provide a slight draw bias and higher launch to fly straighter and gap well into an iron set.
• PING-Engineered Shafts
  Counter-balanced Alta CB Blue is lighter to help increase clubhead speed on a mid-high to high launch. Tour 2.0 Black is low launch and low spin, a good fit for higher swing speeds. Tour 2.0 Chrome delivers a low-mid to mid ball flight with control and precision.
• Aftermarket Shafts
  Project X Denali Red is counter-balanced and delivers a high trajectory and mid-high spin, best for a moderate swing tempo. Mitsubishi Tensei 1K Black is a low-launch, low-spin option designed to keep torque low under the force of faster swings.

SHAFTS

PING offers a variety of graphite shafts to optimize your ball flight for the best possible feel and performance. PING’s proprietary shafts are engineered to complement our head designs so that you can optimize your trajectories for predictable results. Generally, the same shaft flex as your irons in graphite will produce the optimal trajectory in hybrids, but it is not uncommon for players to have a different shaft brand, type and/or flex in their hybrids.

GRIPS

PING offers a variety of grip sizes and styles to fit different hand sizes and texture preferences. Since grip size influences your wrist action, and therefore the direction of your shots, it is commonly used by fitters to affect ball flight.

PING color-coded grips are available in six different diameters, and can be further customized with grip tape according to your needs. Once the neutral grip color code has been determined based on hand measurements, golfers may consider smaller diameter grips to help control fades and slices, or larger diameter grips to help control draws and hooks.
